Pyrrhuloxia Cardinal at the condo
A cardinal at the right and a pyrrhuloxia at the left.
The pyrrhuloxia belongs to the same family as the cardinal.
One easy way to tell the difference - the pyrrhuloxia's beak isn't red.

Common Moorhen Killdeer
A Common Moorhen. I've seen a pair of them at the Santa Cruz River
and I've seen plenty killdeer there, too.

The second is a rarity in Tucson since there has been only one counted and that was in 2004.
